How do I book?
Fill out the enquiry form here or email us with your event details and we will be in touch to arrange the booking.

How long can a provisional date be held for?
We can hold dates for up to 1 month from the provisional booking being made.

What is your cancellation policy?
The booking can be cancelled up to 6 months before the event date without charge. After that, there is a sliding scale of charges depending on when the booking is cancelled.

Cancellations due to Coronavirus are dealt with separately – please get in touch with us for more information. 

Is VAT included in your prices?
Prices exclude VAT

How much is the deposit and when is the final payment due?
The deposit is 25% of the total fee. The final payment will be invoiced two months before the event date.

Catering and suppliers

What catering is available?
Catering is arranged through our partner Leafi, who will work with you to create a bespoke menu to suit your taste and budget. A sample menu can be found here. Please contact to find out more.

What is the corkage/drinks policy?
You are welcome to supply your own drinks. We do not charge corkage but the caterer may put a small charge in place to chill and serve the drinks.

Do we have to use your recommended suppliers?
As a historical space we have to ensure that our suppliers go through a verification process to be able to work successfully within the Cathedral. We therefore request that you use the catering and production suppliers from our list. Floristry and other suppliers can be accommodated upon agreement with the events team.

Is Confetti allowed?
Yes, Confetti is allowed outdoors in the Churchyard only.

Logistics on the day

What time does a reception have to finish?
Wedding Receptions finish with guests departing at 11pm.

Do we have exclusive use?
Yes, the venue spaces are exclusive to your occasion.

What furniture is included?
Tables and chairs are included in the cost of hire.

What are the access times?
No day at the Cathedral is the same! Broadly, suppliers can arrive in the morning to set up and guests can begin to arrive from 5pm. Depending on the availability of the spaces and when you would like to hire, timings can be flexible as agreed with the events team.

Is there somewhere we can secure items until the following day?
We can arrange for your belongings to be kept in a secure room throughout the day and overnight for collection the following day.


Are your spaces accessible?
All event spaces have step-free access.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi on site.

Are there parking facilities on-site?
Due to our Central London location, the Cathedral does not have a dedicated car park. Our team are happy to advise on nearby parking options. If parking is required for disabled guests please let us know so we may make arrangements for you.

Can I have my ceremony at Southwark Cathedral?
We are delighted to receive enquiries about getting married at Southwark Cathedral. Ceremonies can take place at the Cathedral for those who fulfill the criteria set out by the Church of England.
